  • 1tbsp Finely Chopped Garlic
  • 1tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1tbsp Finely chopped onions
  • 4tbsp Yoghurt
  • 2tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1tsp Chopped green chillies
  • 1tbsp Garam Masala (Alternative 1tbsp coriander powder)
  • 1tsp Chilli powder
  • 1tsp pepper powder
  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 Tomatoes (Take some hot water and place the tomatoes for 15mins)
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 4tbsp Margarine

Method

  1. Clean the beef and cut it into medium-sized pieces. Not too big.
  2. Add the salt to the beef and leave for 30mins.
  3. Keep a pan on low fire. Once it is heated add the margarine and then add the marinated beef to this pan. Let the beef fry for 10mins or until the beef turns light brown, stirring the beef once in a while. Remove the beef from fire once it’s done.
  4. Now remove the beef pieces from the pan. Place the pan back on fire without washing. This is to retain the beef flavour.
  5. Add oil to the pan and when it gets heated add the garlic, ginger and onions to it and sauté for about a minute.
  6. To this you now add the fried beef.
  7. Add the yoghurt, boiled tomatoes, green chillies, garam masala, chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
  8. To this add about 1 cup water and leave to boil for 30 minutes on medium fire. Add more water if necessary.
  9. When the beef is cooked well add the coriander leaves and tomato paste. Leave to cook for 5 mins or until gravy has a thick consistency. Add salt if necessary.
  10. Serve Beef Korma!
